First on-air demonstration of the GPS L1/L2 active, Dielectric-loaded Multi-filar Helix (DMH) antenna

Helix Technologies gives first on-air demonstration of its GPS L1/L2 active, Dielectric-loaded Multi-filar Helix (DMH) antenna using a u-blox F9P GNSS module. L1 and L2 signals were received and processed enabling 10cm dynamic positioning accuracy from this ultra-small antenna.

Targeted at a range of applications including personal and in-vehicle applications for civilian and military customers, Helix Technologies plans to launch its Evaluation Kits to enable key customers to commence design-ins in Q1’20.

John Yates said, “We have made great progress this year on bringing the science of dielectric-loaded helical antennas to reality, and we are planning to commence the commercialisation of the technology in 2020”.
